FAQs
Where can I get samples?
We think sampling is such an important part of discovering what best resonates with you and your skin. Aura mists are available to sample at a small number of stockists in Brisbane and the Gold Coast in Queensland.
For the current stockist list please email info@blumorganics.com.au
What is my product's shelf life/expiration?
We advise the shelf life on each package from the time you open each new bottle or jar, and we encourage opening within six months of the date your aura mist was made. This information can be found on the bottom of your packaging box. Aura mists are made in small batches and are best used within 6 months of opening.
Bath Soaks have an extended shelf life and can be used up to 24 months after purchase (and beyond!) however, depending on where they have been stored, the salts are likely the begin to melt unless stored in a cool location. Every aura mist and bath soak batch is prepared fresh in our studio and dated for full transparency into our intimate formulation process.
Under the best conditions, each of our products can safely last well beyond the advised best before date, however we recommend you view these treats as you would fresh flowers, indulging frequently once opened to enjoy the benefit of the highest possible level of aromatic goodness.
Are your products safe to use while pregnant breastfeeding?
Blum’s entire collection is safe for pre-conception, pregnancy, breastfeeding, and beyond with one exception, The Postpartum Salt soak should be avoiding during pregnancy due to the use of yarrow which can cause the uterus to become stimulated. It would be best to wait until after you have given birth to use this product as a precautionary measure. The Cloudpowder and Moontime products are perfectly safe to use during pregnancy, and just save the postpartum for after bubs’ arrival.
Should I refrigerate my products?
We encourage you to store our fresh goodies thoughtfully in a cool, stable environment where it will be light-protected. Beyond this, there is no special care needed. While not required, the aura mists are great chilled during the summer months for an extra cooling treat.
Do your products contain wheat, soy, or animal products?
Blūm’s entire collection is wheat, soy, gluten-free and vegan. On each individual product page you can find the complete INCI listing of all ingredients.
Do you have any formal qualifications for making skincare?
Yes, I have studied Cosmetic Science and completed an Advanced Diploma of Skincare Formulation to graduate with a qualification as a Certified Natural Skincare Formulator.
Are all of your ingredients organic?
Our pursuit is always to bring you the highest possible quality ingredients and source certified organic ingredients wherever possible.
We have consciously chosen to support Indigenous wild harvested ingredients and small scale sustainable Australian farms. However due to the costs associated with official certification, many small growers do not have the financial means to apply for proper certification, yet abide by organic farming principles and are passionate about returning the land back in not only the same, but better condition than when they borrowed it from Mother Nature.
Our ingredients are organically farmed, wild harvested and food-grade where possible. Some ingredients are naturally occurring, such as salt, and do not fall under the category of requiring an organic certification, as they noted on our packaging as 'natural' and are harvested just as mother nature intended without any chemical processing.
Proudly we formulate with unique Australian wildcrafted botanicals in every product. Not only are these plants amongst the most potent and effective in the world, utilising these directly supports the indigenous peoples who gather these gifts of the earth.
Do you test on animals?
Our ingredients are not tested on animals, nor are our finished products. Our entire range isVegan, Cruelty Free and Peta Certified. Tested by us, on us and never on our fury friends.
What if I have a reaction to a product?
The ingredients used in Blūm's range are incredible gentle on the skin, however in the unlikely event of a reaction occurring, please discontinue the use of the product immediately and seek medical advice.
Please note that Blūm Organics recommends the use of patch testing prior to use. As everyone’s skin is individual, what works for most, may not work for all, therefore Blūm Organics takes no responsibility over any negative reactions to ingredients used within our product range. Please read all ingredients prior to use to establish product suitability.
